You Never Know Who You Will Meet

Having a booth at a craft event is no small task. Hours of prep, plus transporting and set-up. Then working and selling for hours while squeezing a couple bites of food and orchestrating a bathroom break when a friend stops by so they can keep an eye on everything. Natural one would think the main focus is to sell. I agree, that it is usually the main focus.

However, a mysterious element lingers. I often have to remind myself of it if sales are low or there just aren't as many people as I expected -- you just never know who you will meet. One person. One conversation. That's all it takes to change the day, month, or year.

The Christmas Extravaganza event brought one of those moments. A conversation turned into an opportunity, and, after some thought, I said yes to a consignment invitation on the other side of the island.
