Shifting Products

I have decided to stop producing some products once inventory is gone (e.g., cards, bibs, matted prints) and have limited editions of other products (e.g., bandanas and some designs on tea towels). I will always be a person that craves novelty and openly embraces change. I can't stop the ideas from flowing and do want to incorporate ideas that I hear from my customers.

An excellent example of this is clothing. Many have asked me to design and sell T-shirts. I am excited to announce that I will be doing just that this holiday season! I will be offering one color of three different designs, Honu, 'Upena, and 'Okika (pictured below) in a small quantity at my big events in November and December. My in-person stock will be limited but these 100% organic cotton T-shirts are now available in more sizes and colors through my print-on-demand site with Printful.com. Yes, this means that products might take a little longer to get to you as they are made after you order. However making products on demand instead of in bulk helps cut down on waste through overproduction and can even shrink the carbon footprint, since they can be made closer to where they’re going—rather than being shipped to me in Hawaiʻi first and then back out to customers on the mainland or overseas.
